The Centipede-RTK projects aims to provide affordable centimeter-level GNSS positioning for uses heretofore limited to professional use (surveyors, famers…), due to its cost.

Uses: better positioning and earlier updates in OSM, for example after roadworks not yet visible on aerial photography: curb surfaces, new roods and roundabouts, new roadside equipment, etc.

There are several ways to use the network and extend it, either with DIY or commercial receivers.

The project needs ground stations to establish a reference network. It currently enjoys over 1100 base stations, mostly in France and Hungary, and is fast spreading all over the world.
