Many people turn to Wikipedia when looking for information about the OpenStreetMap ecosystem. Since Paris hosted Wikimania—Wikipedia’s SOTM—in July, this workshop will teach you how to contribute to Wikipedia’s pages on OpenStreetMap and maps. Let’s bring our two communities closer together—they have so much in common and so much to learn from one another!

This workshop aims to help fill in the gaps in the OpenStreetMap ecosystem’s Wikipedia pages across as many of the encyclopedia’s languages as possible (French, English). Participants will work in pairs—one beginner and one experienced user—or in small thematic groups to help complete the encyclopedia’s entries.
